WTO rules against Ontario’s Feed-In Tarriff Program

Michael Nilevsky, Stikeman Elliott LLP, posted a blog on Dec 20, 2012, reviewing the WTO’s ruling on the “domestic content requirements of Ontario’s Feed-In Tarriff (FIT) program”. Accordingly, “much like [the WTO’s] interim report, the final ruling finds that the FIT program violates the WTO rules that forbid treating domestic suppliers and products differently from foreign ones.” For further reading on the report, see www.canadianenergylaw.com.
