Chinese and Canadian law firm merger?

Most discussion about the potential for another Canadian law firm to join a global law firm has focused on US or UK-centred firms. More recently, however, we’re hearing that a Chinese firm, rumoured to be King & Wood PRC, is exploring the potential of merging with a Canadian firm – one, so the rumour logically holds, that is entrenched in the resource sector.

King & Wood has offices throughout China, and in Tokyo, New York and Silicon Valley. Having an office in Calgary might make a lot of sense. We hope to report further in the weeks ahead. For now, here’s King & Wood’s website link in case you want to contact them,
